Color Schemes

Triadic color scheme: This picture uses orange, green, and purple. These three color are equally spaced from each other on the color wheel so it is a triadic color scheme.

Analogous color scheme: This picture uses red, red-orange, and orange; these colors are adjacent to each other on the color wheel which is why this is a analogous color scheme.

Monochromatic color scheme: This picture represents a monochromatic color scheme because it uses tints and shades of blue.

Complementary color scheme: This picture uses orange and blue which are opposite each other on the color wheel and that is why this is a complementary color scheme.

Split-complementary color scheme: This picture represents a split-complementary color scheme because it uses blue-green, and the colors adjacent to its complementary color which are red and orange.
